Costume Shop
Gabi Sitze-Martin (she/her) is a multi-disciplinary costume technician, serving as
a draper, first hand and master stitcher in multiple theatrical settings. She currently
serves as the School of Theatre Arts Costume Shop Foreman, where she patterns for
costumes, supervises students in the building process, and mentors students working
in the costume shop on best sewing practices.
Gabi has worked and continues to work at several highly credited theatre companies
across the country, including, The Glimmerglass Festival, Remy Bummpo Theatre Company,
Maine State Music Theatre and Ozark Actors Theatre. Her talents served these companies
in the costume and wardrobe departments.
Gabi earned her BFA in Theatrical Design at the Michigan State University with an
emphasis in Costume Technology while minoring in Film Studies. Her degree helped develop
her technical theatre skills and instilled her with a passion for educating the new
generation鈥檚 emerging theatre. She is most excited about mentoring students and watching
their passions ignite in the costume shop.
