Scenic Design
Pablo Guerra-Monje received his education at the Applied Arts School of Madrid, the Royal School of Dramatic Arts of Spain (RESAD), and the University of Memphis. While studying, he earned first place in Lighting at the Student Tech Olympics hosted by USITT. He worked at the National Hispanic Cultural Center in Albuquerque and The Santa Fe Opera before joining the University of Arkansas Fort Smith, where he taught for fifteen years and achieved full professorship. Guerra-Monje has received 28 State, 13 Regional, and 5 National Awards from the Kennedy Center American College Theatre Festival. He has presented his work at the Prague Quadrennial of Performance Design and Space and the World Stage Design exhibit in Taipei. Additionally, he received the Prize for Innovative Teaching from both the Association of Theatre in Higher Education and the Kennedy Center American Theatre College Festival, Region # VI.
