This ensemble is focused on presenting collegiate level choral literature at the highest level and has been visible both regionally and nationally as an invited choir for conferences of the American Choral Directors Association as well as internationally in many facets. Most recently the Choir won the overall Grand Prix at the 2024 Å½ilina Voce Magna Choral Competition in Zilina, Slovakia.

The IWU Collegiate Choir tours annually and students who accept the invitation to sing in this ensemble take on this responsibility with great pride. Recent international performance tours have included Slovakia, Poland, and the Czech Republic and the Choir tours throughout the United States with regularity. The students who make up the Collegiate Choir maintain a high academic standard and a rigorous rehearsal schedule both in and out of schedule class times. Past conductors of the IWU Collegiate Choir are among some of the most notable names in choral conducting including Lloyd Pfautsch, David Nott, and J. Scott Ferguson, and the School of Music is happy to welcome the Choir's fifth conductor, Dr. Cody S. Parrott this fall!

The University Chorus is made up of students from varying disciplines throughout the university who are admitted without an audition. This choir presents concerts in both the Fall and Spring semesters, and often collaborates with other ensembles on campus to present larger works with symphony orchestra. Many of the students in this ensemble are leaders in other student organizations, athletics, and academics who seek to maintain a passion for the performance of choral music at a high level. The goal of this ensemble is to develop skills for each singer in music literacy and vocal performance, build connection through musical artistry, and to share the empowering beauty of choral music with the 91ºÚÁÏרÇø community.
